Domain of Web Page:

  • Com (buisness)

Websites purpose:

  • Prison effects in the era of mass incarceration
  • Website provides  journal articles

Information about the author:

  • Name: Craig Haney
  • Professor at the University of California: Santa Cruz
  • M.A., Ph.D., J.D., Stanford University
  • B.A., University of Pennsylvania
  • Several publications in his name
Timeliness of webpage:

  • "The Prison Journal" Published July 25, 2012
  • Website itself copyrighted 2014
Relevance:

  • Webpage provides the abstract of the journal article
  • According to the abstract, the article has relevant information that would be significantly useful for my research

Overall, this website would provide me with an excellent source of information. However, you have to pay in order to read the full article. The author is credible enough for me to consider either paying the fee, or searching elsewhere for this particular piece of writing. The author is a professor of Psychology, focusing on the effects of Law and Psychology. This is the type of expert that I am looking for to seek knowledge about my topic. He has many other credible publications on the subject of criminology and imprisonment. Due to the relevance this webpage has on my topic, I would say this is a source I would seriously consider using. Although, I would first search for the same publication in hard copy to avoid paying the websites fee.
